Property for sale with Pool in Malta
Properties with swimming have become the target of buyer envy since the pandemic began. As a result, Swimming pool additions are soaring, and more Malta house hunters say they want one in their garden or our door area, according to many reports.
Before the pandemic, many buyers seemed to be shunning properties with pools, which have presented maintenance problems and potential financial liability in the past. According to data recently released, the average swimming pool can be expensive to maintain. Only 10% of Maltese Real Estate said in 2018 that a swimming pool helped to sell a Maltese home, according to data that year.
The pandemic has made the people of Malta change their minds about pools, which have become a mode of entertainment while sheltering at home from the pandemic. As a result, pool sales had greatly increased in the past last year.
Properties with an in-ground pool are selling for a premium, too. Real estate professionals surveyed, estimate that prior to COVID-19, a house with a pool would net about €75,000 more than a similar house without one. But today, a house with a pool would sell for an estimated average of €100,000 or more, industry experts say.
The big decision to build a pool or buy a new property cannot be solely financially based. To begin with, making an average-sized pool in Malta will set you back by at least €25,000 and that all depends upon the various types of landscaping, pool finishes, and fencing style. A swimming pool requires regular cleaning and servicing of the filtration and pumping system when it comes to practicality. Electricity and chemicals add up another €70 per month. New pool owners should also know the annual licence fee, which is around €300.
Demand for pools is expected to continue being strong this spring and summer of 2022. Sixty-eight per cent of real estate professionals in Malta say they expect a surge in pool additions in their markets.
